Discover Scuba Diving Experience
Diving sounds great for French people as it sounds like holidays for us, as a 20 years old French girl I was excited to learn to dive.
When we first arrived at the first point of diving it looked nice, I put on my suit and everything you need to dive and had a little lesson on the safety rules.
After that we got into the water. At first, it’s really disturbing because you’re not used to breath in the water and it feels like you’re going to drown or something like that, but after a little time it comes naturally and you start to relax and enjoy. At one point, I started to feel pain in my ear because of the pressure of the water but when I got calmed again I returned into the water and everything was good to me. I started to really enjoy this and watch what were around me.
At the second point of diving in Valletta, it was a little bit scarier as the sea was more agitated than the previous spot, however once I got in the water I felt great, I already knew how it was like so I just got in and thought “oh it’s easy and cool in fact”. I saw some great things at the Maori diving site, like the wreck of the HMS Maori dating from 1942, inside there are some relic of what there were before it gets wrecked and if you want to know what there are inside… then go for a dive at this site! I saw some beautiful fishes and an octopus, also I’ve seen funny marine plant that retracts itself when it gets touched.
Chris and Lewis made it easy for me to learn and enjoy the dive. I felt like it was really simple and I think everyone that know how to swim is able to dive. All you need to do is stay calm and trust Chris and Lewis they will guide you from the beginning until the end! You can see part of history in the sea, it’s another way to discover things about a country that people don’t think about when it comes to get to know the history. So if you’re curious and brave enough, go get a look yourself!
