The Maltese Government incentives for travellers in 2021.
The Maltese Government have announced a number of incentives for travellers to the Maltese islands for 2021 to help the island recover post Covid and to encourage people to come and enjoy their holidays here in Malta. These include both accomodation and diving specific incentives so check out full details beneath.
The Malta Tourism Authority has announced that through this Scheme, the Malta Tourism Authority shall incentivise independent travellers visiting the Maltese Islands for a minimum of 3 nights to book their holiday stays in 5*, 4* and 3* hotels directly.
Support
MTA will be assisting the participating 5*, 4* and 3* hotels as follows:
- €100 per person on every booking in a 5* Hotel.
- €75 per person on every booking in a 4* Hotel.
- €50 per person on every booking in a 3* Hotel.
Duration of the Scheme
Scheme to commence for tourists arriving as from June 2021.
Application
The Malta Tourism Authority is committed to support Scuba Diving Tourism in the Maltese Islands. This scheme incentivises visitors to experience the Maltese Islands' clear blue Mediterranean sea as an ideal location for scuba diving activities with an abundance of reefs, caves and wrecks that make diving here some of the most interesting in the Mediterranean.
This scheme offers a contribution towards tourists visiting the Maltese Islands for scuba diving activities in 2021. Each applicant will recieve a voucher totaling €100 which can be spent at any of the licensed dive centres in Malta and Gozo (Corsair Diving License Number - Dive/0068) on any diving related activites.
