I have never dived before, can I still try it?
You can try diving with us at any time of year. We will start with a short lesson teaching you a few basics before heading to a shallow protected sea location where you can get to grips with the world of diving alongside one of our experienced instructors.
Do I need to pre book, or can I just walk in when I am in Malta?
At Corsair Diving, we are a small centre who pride ourselves on keeping our groups small for a true personal approach which means it is always better to book in advance so we can tailor our daily dives to suit your needs completely. The easiest way is to get in touch by using our CONTACT FORM and will aim to get back to you asap!
How many dives will I do each day and how long does the day last?
Our normal day is structured with two guided dives in the morning with a singular dive scheduled for the afternoon however if you would like to do something specific, get in touch and we will do our best to organise it for you. At Corsair Diving, we like to meet at the dive centre at around 8.30am and we tend to return to the dive centre approximately 2pm leaving your afternoon free for fun, family or simply relaxing!
Do you dive from a boat or from the shore?
Most of the diving in Malta and Gozo is from the shore, we have beautiful reefs, wrecks and caves all within easy reach from shore. However for some of the dives around the islands a boat is required, particularly for the deep wrecks at around 40 metres depth and for a trip over to Comino.
Do I need a medical to dive in Malta?
All divers need to complete and sign a self-assessment medical form, if you should have any of the problems listed on the form then it would be necessary to have a doctor confirm you are fit for scuba diving. This can be arranged for your arrival with us at Corsair Diving.
I haven't dived in a long time? Do I need to do my courses again?
Having completed the courses, your PADI certification doesn't expire however if you have not dived in a while it is always good to start again with a simple dive. Just let us know if you have not been in the water for a while and then we can start with something appropriate to build that confidence back up.
